Liberals all over the country have been up in arms about Donald Trump’s travel ban ever since he signed it. However, what just happened in Saudi Arabia proves that his ban actually is something that should be in affect.
The Independent UK reported that almost 40,000 Pakistani migrants have been expelled from Saudi Arabia in the last four months over terror fears.
Over 39,000 refugees have been deported from the Middle Eastern nation since October of last year for visa violations and security concerns. Many of them committed crimes related to drug trafficking, forgery and theft, but an unknown number of them also are believed to have had ties to ISIS and other terrorist groups.
Saudi politicians such as Abdullah Al-Sadoun, chair of the security committee of the country’s Shura Council, have called for Pakistani refugees to be vetted more thoroughly before they are allowed into the country.
“Pakistan itself is plagued with terrorism due to its close proximity with Afghanistan. The Taliban extremist movement was itself born in Pakistan,” he said.
